Gonna have to agree with bigb8116 and everyone who has seen power steering in DX hatches. My friend has some sort of one off DX, its like a crusing model i swear lol. It has AC, power steering, its a auto, and...it has the Si passenger side mirror. Its crazy little car, bit on the slow side though lol. So i sold him my old airbox with the hole cutout and the K&N filter, perfomed some of the DX free mods, and he said at least it can now climes hills faster hehe. When i get my thermal he's also gonna buy my muffin shooter hehe.

Sounds like my Civic, had all the options, A/C, Power steering, auto, Side mirror, rear speakers, etc!

Oh hell...I'm gonna keep my eye's more open, but I've never seen a hatch before with Power steering other then the Non-US versions. Maybe Honda did offer it as an option at the time of purchase.

Never have I seen Power Steering on a Hatchback in the Midwest area. Of course I've never seen an Si in the parts yard, only DX and Base hatches and the Civic Coupes and Wagons.
Eric you aught to go racing popping that belt off. It makes a big difference. Loosen the two 12mm brace bolts, and use the thumscrew to take it down, pop the belt off, snug up bolts, then reinstall when done. I'll bet you drop 3 tenths http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Automatics had power steering. Period. Anyone know how hard it is to swap into a 5 speed?

Never seen a JDM 4th Gen Civic Hatch DX with power steering either. And I am not from America.

There's kinda a good bit of parts needed to swap it in...but they won't cost you jack if you buy them all at once at a cheaper junkyard. When I have time, I'll post it here, what you'll need...I think I saved it on my harddrive somewhere.
